What Are We Up To?
We are now Safe Harbor certified. The U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission established the Safe Harbor Framework to ensure the privacy and security of personal data that is created in EU member countries.
With the growing demand for our foreign language processing capabilities, this certification gives our multinational clients peace of mind in that we will take the utmost care and privacy when processing data from the EU (just as we do with our non-EU clients).

For most humans it’s pretty easy to differentiate between Arabic and Japanese, however for computers it is a lot harder…but not for GridLogik. We recently implemented a complex language detection system into GridLogik, our eDiscovery processing technology.
What does this mean for our clients? Now our clients can search and sort their information by their desired language. Data sets that contain multiple languages can now be routed to the appropriate attorney for review, thus speeding up and streamlining the document review process.

High demand for our eDiscovery processing capabilities made us re-think how we should expand our server infrastructure. While common server setups are usually on a 1-to-1 basis (one server with only one operating system), we made the decision to go virtual.
Using virtualization technology allows us to easily solve this 1-1 problem. Now we have the ability to have our servers run multiple operating systems simultaneously. And since our hardware is all multi-processor with enormous amounts of RAM, we can now place anywhere from 15-30 virtual servers on one physical server! With virtualization our processing capabilities have skyrocketed from being able to process a few hundred gigabytes of data a week to well over a terabyte with ease. This means that the already fast process our customers are used to just got even faster.

Logik Systems is proud to announce an online project management automation tool that helps us deliver even faster for our clients. Our new online application helps LKSI manage the entire ediscovery process more smoothly and reliably for all of our customers. From sending e-mail quotes in easy-to-use HTML formats, to the quick and efficient logging of evidence, we’ve streamlined our ediscovery process even more than it was in the past.
Our new process allows LKSI to quickly organize a project’s requirements and ensure customer approval sooner. One of the unique features that our customers love is the automated delivery and invoices we send through e-mail. Before data is delivered to our customers, the system sends out an automated delivery notification that details everything about the delivery such as the date/time it will be delivered, the total number of documents, custodian names, and other project-related information.
Invoices are also managed inside the application and are regularly sent the day of each delivery, ensuring our customers have a minimal wait time for invoicing a common roadblock in the industry, but not with LKSI. Our clients regularly tell us we have the best invoice in the industry — extremely detailed and easy to understand.

In today’s global economy, our clients are increasingly faced with dealing with documentation and data in non-English languages. Most of the top eDiscovery firms cannot adequately parse this data in a time frame and cost structure that is reasonable to clients. However, always a leader in innovation, Logik Systems has now finalized our support for foreign language processing.
We now offer full support for Unicode-based ediscovery projects, and can deliver results faster than other vendors. Our innovative software solution, GridLogik, can now index, de-duplicate, search and convert ANY foreign language document.
So it doesn’t matter if it’s Greek to you we can still process it faster, more accurately and for a lower cost.

Recently, we’ve seen an increase in projects requiring the processing of data in very obscure and uncommon e-mail formats. Our innovative eDiscovery software, GridLogik, now supports the fast processing of Orchestria, Bloomberg, RFC, Thunderbird, AOL and more, completely natively.
While we originally designed our software to handle the more common PST (Microsoft Outlook) and NSF (Lotus Notes) e-mail data natively, more and more companies are utilizing industry-specific content management systems like Orchestria and Bloomberg, which are widely used in the financial industry.
This new capability makes Logik Systems an even more attractive vendor for our clients.

Logik Systems announced today that customers can now take advantage of added functionality that automatically removes blank pages when converting native Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheets to TIFF.
- Logik Systems is the first to develop the innovative algorithm for analyzing each sheet inside an Excel spreadsheet for blank pages while maintaining the formatting options for each sheet (i.e., gridlines, column and row headers, etc.).
- Spreadsheets produce unwanted blank pages when printed to TIFF. This new functionality saves our clients time and money when reviewing the documents for relevance.
