Large Scale Email Processing
With MS Outlook PSTs reaching over 15gb each we knew this project would test our processing limits, but GridLogik pulled through and quickly processed the entire project in under 3days, BUT it was the endless searching that made this a good case study.
Initially the project was easy enough; process all data “natively” to concordance for native review by a local law firm within 3 weeks and no searching. Then the deadline went from 3 weeks to 1 week and the shear volume of data needed to be reduced so that the review could be completed. Keyword searching was the only method in the given time frame that would facilitate this new deadline.
Keyword searching alone is pretty easy, but when there are over 100 different search categories and over 50 subcategories searching can become extremely complicated. This was the task at hand. After GridLogik was done with the processing we searched the over 2million documents with the aforementioned search categories.
We then reported on the search results to our client listing broken-down details such as total file types, pages, size, words, keywords hit, etc. all by category, subcategory and custodian. We did that about 20times or so until the client was satisfied with the results. That along with processing some 250gb of massive PSTs files was completed in ~5.5days. Our client was blown away at our speed and flexibility and was able to complete their review on time.
